Our Story
Ranking Japan is a subscription service launched in April 2025 and based in Ginza, Tokyo.
We deliver carefully selected Japanese sweets to customers around the world every month.
Our founder spent over 10 years working in the global semiconductor industry, gaining extensive international business experience. After the birth of her child, she decided to reevaluate her lifestyle and pursue a new path—one that shares the true charm of Japan with the world.
While living overseas, she often encountered snacks and foods labeled as “Japanese” that were either unfamiliar or not actually eaten in Japan. This sparked a strong desire to deliver authentic Japanese flavors—the treats that are genuinely popular in Japan right now—to people abroad.
Unlike large corporations, we are a small, independent company.
This allows us to select products without any pressure from manufacturers or sponsors.
We rank our featured sweets based on multiple factors, including:
Sales data
Customer reviews
Media coverage
Real-time popularity trends
This ensures a fair, unbiased selection every month.
Although we operate online and cannot meet our customers face-to-face, we take great care in every interaction—from product selection to packaging and shipping. Our goal is to deliver not just sweets, but also a piece of Japanese hospitality with every box.
The greatest joy for us is imagining the smiles of our customers as they open their box each month.
Through the authentic flavors of Japan, we aim to create small moments of happiness for people all around the world.
Ranking Japan is a subscription service launched in April 2025 and based in Ginza, Tokyo. Each month, we rank popular Japanese souvenir sweets and deliver the top 10 to customers worldwide.
Our founder, after working abroad for over 10 years, often saw “Japanese” snacks that weren’t actually from Japan. This inspired a mission: to share real, popular Japanese sweets with the world.
As a small, independent company, we’re free to choose products based on actual trends—using sales data, reviews, and media coverage—without influence from manufacturers.
Though we operate online, we pack each box with care, hoping to bring a touch of Japanese hospitality to your home. Our goal is to spread small moments of joy through the authentic flavors of Japan.
